A group of suspected political
thugs have attacked the campaign
office of Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) governorship candidate in
Ondo State, Jimoh Ibrahim.

According to Punch, the thugs removed
Ibrahim’s picture and the PDP’s flags from the
office which is located in Akure, the state
The incident has been confirmed by the
Director of Publicity of the Jimoh Ibrahim
Campaign Organisation, Sola Akinuli.
“It was much unexpected from any quarter
that such a barbaric act should rear its ugly
head in 2016 when we thought all acts of
hooliganism have been thrown into the
dustbin of history,” he said.
“We are, therefore, calling on security
agencies to take over the matter in order to
forestall future occurrences. On peace we
stand; and that we plead for, from all
quarters,” he added.
