One person has been feared dead following a building collapse within Agidingbi area of Lagos state.

One person has been confirmed dead following a landslide at the Dosunmu street, off Amara Olu road, Agidingbi in Lagos.
Reports from the spokesman of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Ibrahim Farinloye said landslide was the cause of the building collapse, adding that rescue operations are ongoing but one woman, Mrs Faisa has been brought out from the rubble dead.

Speaking with Naij.com at the scene of the land slide, the Lagos state commissioner for Environment, Babatunde Adejare told all the residents of the shanties to evacuate the area adding that the shanty structures would be demolished soon.
He said similar places in the state will also be demolished as that states had issued a warning to residents of such communities to evacuate as the rain begins.
Also, at about 110.pm, a mosque at no 3, Adepitan street off ramat crescent, Ogudu area of the state partially collapsed with no live lost.
