For daring to dump their former party, the PDP
for the ruling party, APC, the two House of
Representatives members who announced their
defection today may find themselves in court.
In separate letters, read on the floor of the
House, the lawmakers, Tony Nwoye from
Anambra State, and Emmanuel Udende from
Benue State, informed the House that they are
leaving the PDP due to the leadership crisis in
the party.
But reacting, Minority Leader of the House, Hon.
Leo Ogor, however, rejected the move and vowed
that the party will
take legal action against the two lawmakers.
According to him, the actions of the two men
was embarrassing as no recognised institution
such as the courts had ruled that the party had
split into factions.
He stated that the party would take the
lawmakers to court and insist that the vacate
their seats if they insist on leaving the PDP,
under which platform they were elected into the
